Description
PV-Inspektionsbericht Pro
Solar Thermography Pro is an AI-powered thermographic inspection for photovoltaic systems. You fly your PV system yourself using a drone and capture thermal and RGB imagery. The data is then analysed automatically on the platform, with quality assurance performed by certified thermographers.
The service is intended for operators, service providers and technical teams requiring structured AI thermography for PV systems. It is suitable for rooftop systems, C&I sites and large solar parks. Results are not available in real time; standard analysis takes approximately 7 days for thermal data and approximately 1 day for visual data.
AI analysis and reports
You receive a complete analysis with fault localisation, root-cause analysis and reports. The platform detects thermal and visual anomalies, assigns causes and keeps the results available for retrieval throughout the service period.
Thermal orthomosaic of the entire system
Visual RGB orthomosaic of the entire system
AI-based detection and root-cause analysis of PV anomalies
Quality assurance by a certified Level 1 or higher thermographer
Temperature differences for each anomaly
Estimated power loss for each anomaly
Geographical position as well as visual and thermal individual image for each anomaly
Reports compliant with IEC TS 62446-3
1 year of data storage on the platform
Detectable faults include hotspots, open strings, open panels, junction box anomalies, PID and potential PID, as well as visual causes such as soiling, vegetation, shading, bird droppings, broken glass and physical damage.
Flights and areas of application
For rooftop systems and smaller PV sites, Solar Thermography Pro is billed using a credit model. 1 credit corresponds to 1 MWp; systems below 1 MWp are counted as 1 MWp. The price is 250 € per MWp.
An individual quotation is prepared for large solar parks. Uploading a string plan allows data acquisition to be planned with less overlap and fewer images. The data requirements for the flight must be met, including 5.5 cm/px GSD for thermal images at panel level, 75% forward and side overlap, radiometric thermal formats with metadata, and clear conditions with irradiance of at least 600 W/m².
Detailed instructions for the flight and the further process can be found in our customer guide: PV-Inspektionsbericht Pro – Befliegung & Ablauf (PDF).
Scope of delivery
- 1x complete inspection report for up to max. 1 MWp, compliant with IEC 62446-3 and georeferenced
FAQ
What is Solar Thermography Pro?
Solar Thermography Pro is an AI-powered thermographic inspection for photovoltaic systems. You fly your PV system yourself using a drone and capture thermal and RGB imagery. The data is then analysed automatically on the platform, with quality assurance performed by certified thermographers.
Which PV systems is Solar Thermography Pro suitable for?
The service is intended for operators, service providers and technical teams requiring structured AI thermography for PV systems. It is suitable for rooftop systems, C&I sites and large solar parks. An individual quotation is prepared for large solar parks.
What results do I receive after the analysis?
You receive a complete analysis with fault localisation, root-cause analysis and reports. This includes a thermal orthomosaic, a visual RGB orthomosaic, temperature differences for each anomaly, estimated power loss for each anomaly, the geographical position as well as a visual and thermal individual image for each anomaly. The reports comply with IEC TS 62446-3 and the data is stored on the platform for 1 year.
Which faults can Solar Thermography Pro detect?
Detectable faults include hotspots, open strings, open panels, junction box anomalies, PID and potential PID. Visual causes such as soiling, vegetation, shading, bird droppings, broken glass and physical damage can also be detected.
How long does the analysis take?
Results are not available in real time. Standard analysis takes approximately 7 days for thermal data and approximately 1 day for visual data.
What happens after purchase?
You capture the data according to these instructions and send it to us. We will then provide you with the results within the stated delivery times.
How is Solar Thermography Pro billed?
For rooftop systems and smaller PV sites, Solar Thermography Pro is billed using a credit model. 1 credit corresponds to 1 MWp; systems below 1 MWp are counted as 1 MWp. The price is 250 € per MWp.
How does Sitemark calculate the capacity in MWp when modules have different power ratings?
Yes. Sitemark does not calculate MWp from the image analysis or the number of modules, but simply uses the Peak Power recorded for the site. This means that the DC capacity is entered manually in the project and only checked for plausibility by Sitemark.
