How can I tell which parachute is suitable for my drone?

Explicit compatibility with the drone platform is decisive. This category includes systems for DJI Matrice 400, Matrice 300/350 RTK, Matrice 4E/4T, Matrice 4D/4DT for DJI Dock 3, as well as various Mavic and Air series models. Selection should always be based on the specific drone model.

What is the difference between a parachute and an FTS?

The parachute slows the drone's descent in an emergency. An FTS is used to safely stop or shut down the propulsion system and, depending on the system, may also function as a propeller stop. Some solutions combine a parachute recovery system and FTS, while others are designed as parachute-only solutions.

Are all drone parachutes suitable for C5 operations?

No. A C5 reference is specified only for systems and drone platforms intended for this purpose, such as certain solutions for DJI M350 or Matrice 4E/4T. Other parachutes increase operational safety but are not automatically certified according to EASA MoC 2511/2512 or suitable for a specific class.

Do the parachutes deploy automatically?

Several systems in this category are designed for autonomous emergency deployment, for example in the event of a serious malfunction or critical flight condition. The specific conditions, response times and safety logic vary depending on the model. These details should therefore always be checked for the respective system.

When is professional installation required?
