Which drone is suitable for surveying and photogrammetry?

For surveying and photogrammetry, you should look for a suitable camera, precise flight planning and appropriate data analysis software. Enterprise systems are designed for these professional workflows and, depending on the model, may support features such as RTK, mapping or specialised surveying cameras.

When is a drone with a thermal imaging camera useful?

Thermal imaging is useful when temperature differences need to be evaluated, for example during technical inspections, fawn rescue, wildlife searches or BOS operations. For purely visual inspections, an RGB or zoom camera is often sufficient, while thermography provides additional information.

What is the difference between DJI and DJI Enterprise?

DJI Enterprise systems are designed for commercial and public-sector applications. Depending on the model, they offer professional sensors, features for inspection, surveying, mapping or emergency assistance, as well as suitable service and accessory concepts. DJI models outside the Enterprise range may be suitable for simpler documentation or entry-level applications, depending on the task.

When is a Dock-based drone system worthwhile?

A Dock-based system is useful when recurring operations are to be carried out automatically. Specific Matrice models are designed for operation with the DJI Dock 2 and can take off, land, charge and remain protected and ready for use there.

Which service options should I plan for when purchasing?

Protection and service packages such as DJI Care Refresh or DJI Care Enterprise are available for many DJI drones. Timely registration is important: DJI Care can only be registered when purchasing a new product or within a short period after first activation. You should also include Accessories, spare batteries, a transport solution and Training requirements in your planning.
