What does the I'M SAFE checklist say?
The I'M Safe checklist is part of accident prevention with drones and is intended to help pilots check their own fitness to fly. According to the procedure:
- Illness: Am I healthy?
- Medication: Am I still under the influence of medication?
- Stress: Am I stressed or under pressure?
- Alcohol: Is my blood alcohol level at 0 per mille?
- Fatigue: Am I tired? Have I slept enough?
- Eating/ Emotion: Have I eaten and drunk enough before the flight? Am I sufficiently distanced from extreme emotional situations?
