What is metadata?
Metadata is additional, more detailed descriptive data for a file. For example, if an aerial image is taken by drone, the following data is saved together with the image:- Coordinates of the position from which the image was taken
- Name of the camera used
- Position parameters of the camera used
- Technical parameters of the camera used
- Time of day
