What can I use the DJI Matrice 4T for in the Thermal Package?

The thermal imaging camera shows temperature differences that are invisible to the naked eye. You can use it to inspect solar installations and buildings, locate fawns before mowing and search for missing persons. Wide-angle, zoom and thermal imaging are combined in one drone, so you can document everything in a single flight.

Which drone licence do I need for the DJI Matrice 4T?

For the DJI Matrice 4T, the A2 drone licence is generally relevant. The exact requirements for your operation depend on the location and purpose of the flight. You can obtain binding information from the German Federal Aviation Authority. The A2 training, including examination, is included in the package.

When is the best time to fly for fawn rescue?

Survey the meadow in the early morning while the ground is still cool. This makes fawns stand out clearly from the grass in the thermal image, even in tall vegetation. With the additional batteries, you can change batteries quickly and survey larger areas in a single operation.

Can I learn how to correctly analyse thermal images of solar installations?

Yes. Our PV Thermography User Training teaches you how to identify hotspots, defective cells and failed strings and document them properly. This takes you from thermal images to a reliable report for your customer. The professional training is not included in the package and can be booked separately.

Can I also survey roofs or terrain with the Thermal Package?

The Thermal Package is designed for thermal imaging and inspection. For measuring the roofs of single-family homes, we recommend our Fly Package. For surveying with the highest level of accuracy, our Pro Package with the DJI Matrice 4E, which has integrated RTK, is the right choice. If you can accept compromises in the quality of the results, the DJI Matrice 4T can also be used for surveying when required.

What does DJI Care Enterprise Plus cover in the package?

With 12 months of DJI Care Enterprise Plus, your drone is protected against damage that can occur during day-to-day work, for example from a branch, a gust of wind or a moment of inattention. You can find the exact scope of cover in the DJI Care terms and conditions.

What is included in the Airclip Thermal Package?

Do you want to make heat visible where the naked eye cannot see it? The Airclip Thermal Package brings thermal imaging technology directly into your operations, whether for inspection, fawn rescue or searching for people. With the DJI Matrice 4T, two additional batteries, 12 months of protection and A2 training including examination, you are ready for use from your first flight.

Solar inspection: Find faults in a single flyover

From the air, you can identify hotspots, defective cells and failed strings on solar parks and rooftop systems. Instead of checking every module individually, you can see irregularities at a glance. Document them directly during the flight and obtain reliable images for maintenance and customer reports.

Building inspection: Make weak points visible

Thermal images reveal thermal bridges, leaks and moisture that often go unnoticed from the outside. Inspect roofs and façades from the ground, without scaffolding or ladders. This gives you a sound basis for reports, renovation planning or discussions with your customers.

Fawn rescue: Search the meadow before mowing

Fly over the area in the early morning while the ground is still cool. Fawns stand out clearly from the grass in thermal images, even when hidden in tall vegetation. This allows you to find the animals before the mower arrives.

Search and rescue: Keep an overview even at night

Search for missing people at dusk and at night, when the normal camera image reaches its limits. Thermal imaging shows body heat even in difficult terrain. You can cover large areas faster than a search team on foot.

One flight, all images

The DJI Matrice 4T combines a wide-angle camera, zoom and thermal imaging camera in one device. When you spot an irregularity in the thermal image, zoom in and document it during the same flight. The laser rangefinder lets you determine distances and positions directly from the air. No second appointment, no camera change.

A2 training and examination: Your drone licence included

The package includes A2 training and the examination for your drone licence. Complete the training online and learn at your own pace. Would you prefer personal instruction? The training can then be adapted to on-site training.

More time in the air

With two additional batteries, simply change the battery and continue flying. Especially at large solar parks or in extensive search areas, every minute in the air counts.
