The 3dsurvey Classroom License was developed specifically for use in educational institutions. It enables schools, universities, and training centers to teach professional photogrammetry workflows in a practical way. Teachers can process realistic survey data and familiarize students with industry-standard software. The Classroom License is ideal for teaching, labs, and project work—also in combination with DJI drones and common photogrammetry data formats such as point clouds, orthophotos, or DSM.
Unlimited users with school license
The 3dsurvey Classroom license with multi-user access allows simultaneous access for multiple students within a school network or educational institution. This allows courses, project teams, or entire classrooms to be equipped efficiently. Thanks to structured user management, the license is also suitable for changing groups or semester-based courses—without the need for separate individual accounts. This creates a continuous learning process with practical drone data and repeatable workflows.
Full functionality for teaching and research
Despite the educational license, the full range of functions is retained. All analysis and export functions of 3dsurvey are available – from 3D models and orthophotos to volume calculations and digital elevation models. This makes the Classroom License interesting not only for beginners, but also for demanding research projects with drone data. Ideal for departments such as geodesy, construction, environment, or renewable energies.

3Dsurvey is Windows-based software for processing image data, especially from drone flights. The software uses the processor (CPU) for calculations and the graphics card (GPU) for graphical display. The system requirements vary depending on the project size and processing requirements
The requirements are divided into three usage categories below: minimum requirements, recommended configuration, and professional use with large data sets
Minimum requirements
- Operating system: Windows 7, 8, or 10 (64-bit)
- Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5 or i7
- RAM: 16 GB
- Graphics card (GPU): Nvidia GTX 760 or comparable
- Hard disk space: SSD with at least 128 GB + HDD with at least 500 GB
Recommended system configuration
- Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Processor (CPU): Intel Core i7, e.g. Intel Core i7- 6700HQ
- RAM: 16 to 32 GB
