With the 3Dsurvey Classroom module RTK Videogrammetry, users get a highly accurate solution for the georeferenced evaluation of drone videos. RTK support provides the video data with exact GPS coordinates, enabling direct integration into existing CAD or GIS workflows. The advantage is obvious: millimeter-precise positioning, even in difficult terrain or with unstable GNSS signals. This module is ideal for applications such as RTK videogrammetry with DJI drones, infrastructure surveying, or 3D documentation from the air.
Automated video image decomposition and matching
The Classroom module automatically converts drone videos into high-quality individual images, detects overlaps, and performs automatic image selection. Thanks to intelligent matching algorithms, even large video files can be efficiently converted into photogrammetric point clouds. This completely eliminates the manual effort of image selection – a clear advantage for projects with high data volumes or time-critical applications with RTK videos.
Direct workflow integration in 3Dsurvey software
The output of RTK videogrammetry is seamlessly integrated into the 3Dsurvey software. Users can create 3D models, orthophotos, or volume analyses directly from the video file – without any format conversion or external tools. Compatibility with popular RTK drones such as DJI Matrice or Phantom RTK and support for standard formats (e.g., .mp4, .mov, .avi) make the module particularly flexible.

3Dsurvey is Windows-based software for processing image data, especially from drone flights. The software uses the processor (CPU) for calculations and the graphics card (GPU) for graphical display. The system requirements vary depending on the project size and processing requirements
The requirements are divided into three usage categories below: minimum requirements, recommended configuration, and professional use with large data sets
Minimum requirements
- Operating system: Windows 7, 8, or 10 (64-bit)
- Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5 or i7
- RAM: 16 GB
- Graphics card (GPU): Nvidia GTX 760 or comparable
- Hard disk space: SSD with at least 128 GB + HDD with at least 500 GB
Recommended system configuration
- Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Processor (CPU): Intel Core i7, e.g. Intel Core i7- 6700HQ
- RAM: 16 to 32 GB
- Graphics card (GPU): Nvidia GTX 960 or better
