What applies to my Mavic 2 series according to the EU drone regulation?

If you purchased the drone before 31 December 2023, the drone is considered an existing drone. It is therefore not assigned to a C class. In addition to the DJI Mavic 2 series, the DJI Phantom series cannot be recertified either.

Regulations for existing drones can be found here.

Post-certification is only possible for drone models that are now considered certified drones but were sold before December 2023.

Drones sold from 01.01.2024 must be brought onto the market with C classification by the manufacturer. A current overview of certified drone models can be found on the EASA website .
