Which EU drone licence do I need to fly my drone?
The following applies to EU-certified drones :
C0 (less than 250g):
- A1 (close to people) -> none, but EU proof of competence is recommended
- A2 (up to 50 m from people) -> none, but EU proof of competence is recommended
- A3 (up to 150 m from people) -> none, but EU proof of competence is recommended
C1 (less than 900g):
- A1 (close to people) -> EU proof of competence/small drone licence
- A2 (up to 50 m from people) -> EU proof of competence/small drone licence
- A3 (up to 150 m from people) -> EU proof of competence/small drone licence
C2 (less than 4kg):
- A2 (up to 50 m from people) -> EU remote pilot certificate/large drone licence
- A3 (up to 150 m on humans) -> EU certificate of competence/small drone licence
C3 (less than 25kg):
- A3 (up to 150 m from humans) -> EU certificate of competence/small drone licence
