3D scan integration for drone surveying

The 3Dsurvey Classroom SCAN module makes automated processing of point clouds and 3D scans a reality. The module allows laser scan data or photogrammetrically generated point clouds to be analyzed and edited directly in the learning environment. Users benefit from a complete 3D process chain, ideal for training in digital surveying with drones and laser scanners.

Smart visualization of point clouds

The integrated visualization component allows 3D models, point clouds, and meshes to be viewed and interpreted directly in the software. This makes it easier to communicate and analyze complex structures. 3Dsurvey is Windows-based software for processing image data, especially from drone flights. The software uses the processor (CPU) for calculations and the graphics card (GPU) for graphical display. The system requirements vary depending on the project size and processing requirements

The requirements are divided into three usage categories below: minimum requirements, recommended configuration, and professional use with large data sets

Minimum requirements

  • Operating system: Windows 7, 8, or 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5 or i7
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Graphics card (GPU): Nvidia GTX 760 or comparable
  • Hard disk space: SSD with at least 128 GB + HDD with at least 500 GB

Recommended system configuration

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor (CPU): Intel Core i7, e.g. Intel Core i7- 6700HQ
  • RAM: 16 to 32 GB
