Where can I obtain an EU drone licence?
Both the small EU drone pilot licence (A1/A3 certificate of competence) and the large EU drone pilot licence (A2 remote pilot certificate) are only issued by the Federal Aviation Office.
An online examination is sufficient for the A1/A3 certificate of competence. The preparation and examination for the A2 remote pilot certificate can be carried out at a centre recognised by the Federal Aviation Office, such as Airclip Service GmbH & CO KG. Online training and testing is also possible. Both drone pilot licences are valid for 5 years.
You must be over 16 years old to take an examination for the EU drone licence.
