Do I have to register my drone in accordance with the EU Drone Regulation?

No.

According to the EU Drone Regulation, only operators must register from 1 January 2021. This applies to all pilots who use drones weighing 250g or more with the ability to collect personal data, including drones with cameras. Each operator can operate several drones.

Registration takes place online at the Federal Aviation Office. After receiving your electronic registration number (e-ID), you must attach it to your drone and load it into the remote identification system. It replaces the fireproof sticker.

The aim of the directive is to be able to identify drone pilots in the air in order to avoid incidents in restricted flight zones.
