What is SORA?

SORA (Specific Operational Risk Assessment) is a Europe-wide procedure for analysing the risks associated with the use of unmanned aerial systems.

If a general ruling or a standard scenario does not cover the planned flight, an individual ascent authorisation is required. A standardised risk assessment in accordance with SORA may be necessary to assess the safety of the operation of unmanned aircraft.
